The body is in a state of organized
dysfunction. We disorganize it, and ask
it to reorganize itself more functionally.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle and subtle therapy that reaches an incredibly deep level in the body. CST techniques evaluate and enhance the function of the craniosacral system, which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CST sessions use a very soft touch to help to improve the functioning of the central nervous system by releasing restrictions in the craniosacral system. Sessions leave clients feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvinated well beyond the day of the treatment. Because of the far-reaching nature of the central nervous system, the effects of CST treatments are wide-ranging and extraordinary.

CST was developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies on the craniosacral system from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University. It is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and its effectiveness to improve pain and many dysfunctions in the body.
